What is a database? An organized collection of records. For example, in an employee database, one record might include the following:
What is a database management system? Software that handles the storage, retrieval, and updating of data in a computer system.
Information is stored in what? In computing, memory refers to the physical devices used to programs (sequences of instructions) or data (e.g. program state information) on a temporary or permanent, basis for use in a computer or other digital  electronic device.
What is a record in Access? A record if Microsoft access is a document that was saved by default even after you sent it to the trash. This record can only be accessed through the hard drive.
What is a field in Access? A field in Microsoft is a piece of information related to a single person or thing. Related fields are grouped together to form a record.
